I like to craft stories
First of all thank you for taking a look at my portfolio.
Here is to brief introduction of why I work in both digital and physical space...
Anna grew up in Canada and what influenced her to enter into this field of design is the innate passion for asking why. She was that annoying kid in the back of the car, who always asked their parent's many whys during the ride back home. With this innate curiosity to finding answers, her journey begun in industrial design. Where Anna went onto discover why objects were built this way.
Problem
In the process, Anna discovered the impact of design influencing cultures, communities, and daily habits but felt there were many limitations to designing in physical space like the accessibility for users. Therefore, she later transitioned to working in tech startups to learn UX/UI and graphic design skills. Although digital solutions were quick to create, Anna still felt like something was missing in the experience.
Discovery
In search of the answer, she later relocated to New York, where she discovered the branding field, which finally felt like it tied all her interests into one. It was no longer just about designing one medium but applying a systematic approach to constructing multiple touch-points to deliver a robust brand experience.
Therefore, as you continue to look upon Anna's work, she is eager to learn new software, platforms, and techniques to cultivate adaptable and agile solutions to meet user needs and trends, whether that be a billboard, app, perfume packaging, or even a thesis on Online dating.
A curiosity-driven mindset to always finding touchpoint for innovation and where design can be implemented.
A strong dedication to applying empathetic approaches to design in understanding users' needs and pain points.
And humility to understand that I don't know all the answers but am passionate about always learning and caring about building experiences that can amplify voices, empower, and bring more accessibility to the ones that need it.
